Mobile Xray

In case your horse needs x-rays to be taken, that could easily be performed at your yard. We have two portable, wireless x-ray kits that allow images to be obtained and processed right on the spot and without the need for mains power. Our vets will reassure that all the radiation safety measurements are followed. If you wish to be present during the procedure, please do not be offended if you are asked to wear one of our “not-very-fashionable” protective lead aprons and other necessary PPE.

It is not mandatory for you to be present whilst your horse is being x-rayed. If you would rather not or if it is not recommended for you (e.g. if you are pregnant or in case you are under the age of 18), please let us know in advance so that we can provide sufficient help.

We are always happy to e-mail the x-ray images to you, your farrier, referral clinicians or anywhere else that might be needed.
