Endoscopy

Our battery powered fibre optic endoscope allows us to perform minimally invasive procedures such as examination of your horse’s upper airway, nasal passages, guttural pouches etc. Tracheal wash and bronchoalveolar lavage samples can also be obtained at the same time as part of investigation of respiratory conditions.

Just like gastroscopies [link to gastroscopy?], all these procedures can be safely done anywhere, despite where you keep your horse. They are usually very well tolerated by most of the horses with only mild sedation and can be completed in under an hour, depending on the case.
